Lacey Rouse  Region 3 Seat A

My name is Lacey Rouse.  I am a Freshman at North Cedar High School in eastern Iowa.  I have been raising Miniature Herefords with my parents and older brother since I was eight years old.  I am an active member of both our county 4H and our school’s FFA chapter. I participate in other activities at school, too, which include volleyball, basketball, drama, and concert band. When I’m not at school, doing school activities, or working cattle, you can find me chilling out with my black Labrador Retriever, Callie. I am excited to serve as a Representative for Junior Nationals.

Isaac Wiley 2.jpg

Isaac Wiley
Region 4 Seat A

I am Isaac Wiley from Mount Vernon, Ohio.  I am 17 years old and a Junior at Veritas Academy.  My family and I operate 4 Wiley Farm, LLC where we run about 19 head of Miniature Herefords.  I am part owner of 5 head, and my brother and I are responsible for the daily care and maintenance of the herd.  I started showing Miniature Herefords when I was 9 years old and my parents haven’t been able to keep me out of the show ring since.  I now show at the county, state and national levels.  Miniature Herefords are my main focus, but I also enjoy showing goats and full-sized cattle.  Showmanship is my passion and I am more than willing to take just about any animal into the show ring.

In my spare time, I am on a trap shooting team, play the piano at my church and love spending time in the woods hunting deer and squirrels.  Some of the things I am most proud of this past year are receiving the Miniature Hereford Junior Nationals Herdsman Award and winning Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the North American International Livestock Expo.

I have attended the Miniature Hereford Junior Nationals for the last two years.  Junior Nationals has changed my life and taught me to not be afraid of the unknown.  I have been pushed out of my comfort zone, but it is those times that I have had the most fun and learned the most.  I am honored to have been chosen as a part of Junior Nationals Junior Committee and hope I can make this a great experience for all the junior participants.
